Customer Feature: Emma

Welcome to our next customer feature! We are so excited to share this feature on Emma & her little man Theo with you. Emma has been a customer of ours since November last year & has been such a wonderful support to our business which we are forever grateful for. We asked Emma some questions & we hope you enjoy learning more about her, her little man & what she loves about Piper & Me!

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

I’m Emma, first time Mum to Theodore (Theo). I originally started my Instagram page to document mine and my husbands struggles trying to conceive a baby. Back then my handle was @makingbabycoyle. We struggled to conceive for about 5 years trying a number of different methods, multiple doctors, medications and treatments but in the end it all led to IVF. Our first round of IVF failed miserably, we didn’t expect the result we got. I had connected with other women in the ttc (trying to conceive) community through instagram and Facebook, and from there decided to start my own instagram page to document our IVF journey. It was the best thing I did. It allowed me to have an outlet, to talk to people going through similar struggles, to support others and also get inspiration from people who had success. And now that we have our little miracle baby boy my instagram now has become a place to celebrate his life. By doing so we sort of fell into brand repping and it’s now become something so fun for us. Theo loves the camera and loves all the attention. He’s such a smiley and happy little guy!

How did you discover Piper & Me and what was the first piece that you purchased?

I discovered Piper & Me on instagram. I can’t remember how exactly, I think I may have just come across the page one day and I fell in love!!

My first purchase was right after Theo was born, almost a year ago now! I got the navy Riley Romper and the Billie Pants in Bears. I was obsessed with buying anything that had bears on them because our nickname for Theo is Teddy Bear. They were 0-3months size. So little and cute!

What is your favourite Piper & Me piece & how do you like to style it?

This is such a hard question because I have loved EVERYTHING I have purchased. Honestly it’s hard to not say the Teddy overalls. But that’s probably because they are named after Theo because we won the competition to name them. My favourite way to style the Teddy overalls is with the mustard Logan Tee underneath. That outfit is definitely one of my favourites. But honestly I do love everything, I took milestone photos of Theo weekly until 30 weeks and so many of them feature Piper and Me clothes because I love them so much. That’s why we own almost everything from Piper and Me. A staple in Theo’s wardrobe however is the Scout Waffle Romper. We have purchased that is 3 different sizes and in grey and white because we love it so much.

What would you like to see in the next release for Piper & Me?

This is such a hard question. I honestly LOVE the waffle range and would love a long sleeve in grey. But one of my favourite prints is also The Leaves pattern. Coming into winter I think anything that can be layered. Cute little sweater/jumper or cardigan maybe. But the girls are so talented I’m sure to love everything they already have planned!

Now the most important question... What tv show are you currently addicted to?

Currently obsessed with Ru Paul’s Drag Race. I’m binge watching it on Stan. My guilty pleasure is reality tv.

So many of us, as mums, put ourselves last. It's something that so many of us do without even thinking. Often times the kids, the running of the household, and work commitments see us putting ourselves at the very bottom of the priorities list, and more often than not, we've done it without realising it! And today we have Jess, with some insight into why it's so important for us Mumma's to take a little time out for self care. Sometimes you have to make sure your own cup is full, before you c...
